Amadablam also known as 'Matterhorn of the Himalaya' has the height of 6,812m above the sea level. This beautiful mountain is located almost due south of Mt. Everest and Mt. Lhotse in the Khumbu region. This mountain is in pyramid shaped and one of the most stunning as well as impressive mountain. AmaDablam means "Mother's necklace", the long ridges on each side like the arms of a mother protecting her child, and the hanging glacier thought of as the Dablam,the traditional double-pendant containing pictures of the gods, worn by Sherpa women. For several days, AmaDablam dominates the eastern sky for anyone trekking to Mt.Everest basecamp. The summit of this mountain was first scaled by Mike Gill (NZ), Barry Bishop (USA), Mike Ward (UK) and Wally Romanes (NZ) via the Southwest Ridge on 13 March 1961 from its base situated on 4200m. The South-West Ridge is the standard and most popular route taken by the climbers to ascend Mt. Amadablam is considered as a technically difficult peak to conquered. Basically, Our Sherpa khangri Outdoor team set 3 camps during the expedition. The amazing and breath taking panoramic views of huge mountains like Everest, Cho-Oyu, Makalu and Lhotse on the way to the top of AmaDablam increases the excitement of climbing.

Camp-1 will be set up at 5,700m (17,400 ft), the way to Camap-1 from Base Camp is moderate and normal. From Camp-1 we follow existing fixed lines, it gets challenging with narrow granite ridge up to Camp-2. The route from Camp-2 to Camp-3 is comprised of mixed rock, snow and ice, which is loose in certain places. The way from Camp 3 to the summit is less technical and after taking summit we will descend to the base camp.

ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel (1300m)

Day 02: Trip briefing, paper works and gear checking 

Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla(2840m) Overnight stay in Lukla

Day 04: Lukla to Phakding (2800m) approx 4 hrs

Day 05: Phakdingto Namche Bazaar (3440mapprox6hrs walk)

Day 06: Namche Bazaar rest day for acclimatization

Day 07: Namche Bazaar to Tyangboche(3860mapprox 5 hrs walk)and visit monastery

Day 09: Tyangboche to AmaDablam Base camp (4400mApprox 4 hrs walk)

Day 10: Base Camp preparation; rest day.

Day 11 To Day 25: Climbing period (summit AmaDablam6,812m)

Day 26: AmaDablam base camp to Tengboche(3860m)

Day 27: Tengboche to Manju (2800m)

Day 28: Manju to Lukla(2840m)

Day 29: Lukla to Kathmandu valley. Farewell and celebration dinner in the evening.

Day 30: Transfer to the International airport for final departure
