Lumbini is the birthplace and is famous for Mayadevi Temple and Ashoka Pillar. Tilaurakot, on the other hand, contained the palace where Buddha grew into an adult. In addition to that, the region consists of several other places which relate to Buddha in several ways, however, due to lack of investment and research, these places are shadowed by the reputation that Lumbini has.

Chitwan takes pride in having several locations of natural and religious significance. Among them,

Pokhara city is the recognized to be the tourism capital of Nepal. It has many lakes, and caves that fascinate the crowd of tourists that swarm into this city. It has rivers and falls that charm the onlookers, and temples that attract heart of a devotee. The iconic and majestic Machchhapuchhre shines towards the north of the city, adding beauty to it. It is a favorable for boating, cycling and other adventures like paragliding and zip flying.
